Benchmark Electronics, a U.S. headquartered company specializing in engineering, design, and manufacturing solutions, has launched a new 321,000-square-foot production facility in Guadalajara, Mexico. Located in Parque Industrial San Jorge, Tlajomulco, the cutting-edge site boosts the company’s regional manufacturing capacity by 50% and brings multiple operations under one roof.
Engineered to serve multiple sectors—such as healthcare, industrial applications, high-performance computing, and telecommunications—the new facility unifies formerly dispersed operations into one streamlined, purpose-built environment. This consolidation is aimed at addressing the increasing demand for dependable electronics manufacturing across North America.
“The opening of this new facility marks a significant milestone in our commitment to investing in Mexico,” said Jeff Benck, President and CEO of Benchmark. “It plays a vital role in our global expansion efforts, allowing us to grow our capabilities and more effectively support the sophisticated, highly regulated markets we serve.”
The facility’s increased manufacturing capabilities will support both new and existing customers, providing enhanced product realization services in a purpose-built environment. This expansion is part of the broader industry trend toward nearshoring and regionalized supply chains, reflecting Benchmark’s commitment to innovation and growth in the region.
Beyond the expansion of manufacturing capacity, Benchmark’s new facility also marks a significant step in job creation and talent development. The company has partnered with local universities and technical high schools to create pathways for skilled workers in high-tech manufacturing.
“This facility is not just a building; it’s the foundation for the future of Benchmark in Guadalajara,” said Dagoberto Esquer, General Manager of Benchmark Guadalajara. “We’re committed to supporting the community, creating new jobs, and providing educational opportunities that will benefit the region for years to come.”
With its robust IT infrastructure and optimized production layout, the new facility is poised to drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation, helping Benchmark continue its mission to support a healthier, safer, and more connected world.
